Secretly, we all have these (forbidden) fantasies

By Janna, 21.04.2025

Honestly? We are all a little naughty in our heads. Even if you are a good homebody, somewhere in the recesses of your brain there’s a fantasy that gets your heart racing. Don’t worry: fantasizing is healthy, sexy and completely normal. Which ‘forbidden’ thoughts pop up more often than you might care to admit? Brace yourself (or slide a little further down on the couch), because here they come.

1. Sex with a complete stranger

You’re in the elevator, the doors close and BAM: there he is, that stranger with those intense eyes. Before you can think ‘microwave meal’, your imagination has already parked you against the elevator wall, French kissing passionately. Anonymous, raw, no exchange of phone numbers, just pure desire. And no, that doesn’t make you trashy, it makes you human.

2. Power and surrender

Sometimes you just don’t want to be in charge of your life. That’s why fantasies about submission or dominance are so popular. Whether you dream about a secret hand tying your wrists or you holding the reigns — it’s all about that thrilling play of power and surrender (and yes, in your head, things can all get a bit more intense than IRL).

3. Secretly getting caught

Sex at the office? In the locker room at the gym? Behind an ancient tree in the park? Fantasizing about ‘getting caught’ makes everything even more exciting. Don’t worry: in your head you always just get away with it — and of course your outfit still looks perfect afterwards. In reality, you would probably end up with sweat stains and chafe marks on your butt, but hey, details.

4. A ‘what-if’ with a neighbor (or that one colleague)

Sure, you’re totally loyal and in love. But still … if your neighbor is mowing his lawn shirtless or that colleague laughs a little too charmingly at your joke, your mind is bound to take Fantasy Lane. Doesn’t mean to say that you’ll jump on his lap tomorrow. It’s just a kind of Netflix series broadcast in your head (only without the subscription costs).

5. Flashbacks to your ex

Yep, even that ex you’d rather erase from your memory can suddenly pop up in your fantasies sometimes. And no, that doesn’t mean you want to get back together again. You probably miss the spicy sex more than your shared Netflix passwords.

Fantasizing isn’t only normal, it’s also super healthy. It keeps your brain creative, your body awake and your sex life exciting — even if you keep it all to yourself. So: let them come, those naughty thoughts. No one needs to know. Except you!
